SEE ENERGY 2023, Regional Energy Conference - October, Novi Sad

The two-day regional energy conference with exhibition,  SEE ENERGY- Connect & Supply 2023 will take place on October 2nd and 3rd, 2023, at the Sheraton Hotel in Novi Sad. The conference will focus on topics related to innovation, decarbonization in industry and transportation, energy storage, the electricity market, financing renewable energy projects and green financing, as well as technologies and conditions for implementing heat pumps.

SEE ENERGY platform will gather leading experts, investors, industry representatives, decision-makers, technology manufacturers, consulting firms, governmental, and financial institutions. This regional event provides a unique opportunity to connect with key players in the industry, learn about the latest technologies and policies, and contribute to the further development of sustainable energy.

How to operate responsibly in challenging times and how companies can transform their business towards a sustainable future?

On the first day, after the ceremonial opening, the panel on "Decarbonization in Industry: Innovations, Challenges, and Competitiveness"  will present procedures, permits, and licenses necessary for the implementation of decarbonization projects. Highlighting best practices and industry examples that show the path to decarbonization, the panel will explore how industries can respond to this reality. The focus will be on identifying innovative solutions and procedures that enable the transition to cleaner energy.

In addition to the topic of decarbonization in industry, the conference will also cover important aspects of decarbonization in transportation and the oil industry.

What are the key barriers and challenges in connecting renewable energy projects to the electricity grid, and how can they be overcome? What role do energy storage systems play in sustainable energy transition and how can they help balance supply and demand?

The panel will focus on connecting renewable energy projects to the electricity grid in light of the requirements for installing energy storage systems. The discussion will cover topics such as battery energy storage, legislative frameworks, and new technologies for storing generated energy. The panel on "Electricity Market: Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Prices, and Availability of Credit Lines"  will explore key aspects of financing renewable energy projects and selling electricity on the open market. The focus will be on finding ways for investors to secure financial resources for projects such as solar power plants, considering different financing models and contractual arrangements. Innovative approaches to project financing and electricity trading will also be considered, along with their contribution to the further development of renewable energy. This panel will provide insights into the practical aspects of financing and electricity trading to ensure the sustainability and growth of the renewable sector.

HEAT PUMP DAY

Co-organized with the German organization for international cooperation GIZ,  the second day of the conference is dedicated to regulatory and legislative developments in heat pumps, as well as financing the heating sector from renewable energy sources.

Examples of good practices in using heat pumps in Germany will be presented by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) and representatives of Fraunhofer University.
